Construction & Demolition (C&D) Transfer Station

Falcon Green Resources now operates a fully functioning construction and demolition (C&D) transfer station in Woodstock, Illinois. Contractors, roofers, builders, remodelers, and property owners can bring loads directly to us for fast unloading and responsible recycling and disposal — keeping as much material as possible out of the landfill. It is the newest addition to a recycling operation we have been building since 1999, when we became the first asphalt shingle recycler in Illinois.

What We Accept

Our facility is a construction and demolition debris transfer station, not a general household garbage facility. We cannot take all types of waste, so loads must be limited to C&D material and the recyclables listed below.

Construction & Demolition Debris

  • Wood, lumber, and pallets
  • Drywall and plaster
  • Asphalt roofing shingles
  • Concrete, brick, and block
  • Siding, trim, and millwork
  • Flooring, carpet, and padding
  • General jobsite and remodeling debris

Recyclable Materials

  • Cardboard (OCC) and paper
  • Ferrous metals, including steel and iron
  • Non-ferrous metals, including aluminum and copper
  • Most other clean, source-separated recyclables

What We Cannot Accept

Because we are set up for C&D debris and recyclables only, the following materials cannot be brought to the transfer station:

  • Household garbage, food waste, and yard waste
  • Liquids, paint, oil, and fuel
  • Hazardous or regulated waste, including asbestos
  • Tires
  • Appliances containing refrigerants
  • Electronics
  • Batteries, propane tanks, and other pressurized containers
  • Medical waste

Not sure whether your load qualifies? Call us at 815-334-8689 before you haul and we will let you know what we can take.

What to Expect When You Arrive

Stop at the scale house when you pull in and our team will check you in and direct you to the correct unloading area. Because material is sorted for recycling, keeping your load as clean and separated as possible helps you get in and out faster. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a C&D transfer station?

It is a permitted facility where construction and demolition debris is received, consolidated, and sorted so recyclable material can be recovered and the remainder moved on for proper disposal. Instead of every truck driving to a distant landfill, loads are dropped locally and handled here.

Can I bring household garbage?

No. We accept construction and demolition debris and the recyclables listed above. Household garbage, food waste, hazardous material, and similar waste have to go elsewhere.

Do you accept cardboard and scrap metal?

Yes. Cardboard, paper, and both ferrous and non-ferrous metals are accepted, along with most other clean recyclables.

What are your hours?

The transfer station is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm and is closed on weekends.

How much does it cost to dump a load?

Rates depend on the material and the size of the load. Call 815-334-8689 for current pricing before you haul.

Do you also rent dumpsters?

Yes. If hauling your own debris is not practical, we offer dumpster and roll-off container services in a range of sizes for both residential and commercial projects.
